Helena College provides Microsoft ® Office for education—including email and online document viewing and editing. With MS Office , students, can enjoy free access to the same great Office tools that businesses around the world use every day:
- Email and calendars Cloud-based email and calendars powered by Microsoft Outlook using your domain name. 15 GB storage per user
- Office Web Apps Create and edit Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote documents using your favorite web browser
- Team sites Share files and documents with classmates. Create team, study group or club sites. Up to 300 sub sites
When you are first accepted to Helena College, you will get a basis email access. This can be accessed by going to the Helena College web site, selecting Portals in the upper right corner, and then Student Portal. There is an email icon on the main page. You can also get to it through this quick link to email.
Once you select the icon, you will be taken to the login page. This page prompts for your NetID and Password. Your NetID for Helena College always starts with HCS (ex HCS012345). If you do not know your NetID, you may need to activate it. Below the login screen is a button for "Activate My NetID".
After logging in, if you get prompted to trust helenacollege.edu, please select continue. This should only appear once after you log in the first time.
Accessing email from a portable device (ie. phone/tablet) is very easy.
Just install the Microsoft Outlook app from either your Android's Playstore or Apple's App Store. Make sure to install the app specifically from Microsoft Corporation.
